Wine Tasting with You 🍷

Hi!

Greetings from an erratically springy/wintery NYC!

I gave tasting last week for my friend Meron Langsner at the real estate firm of Cooper & Cooper, fifty-three floors above the metropolitan fray. In honor of our vertiginous location, I themed the tasting around high altitude wines, taking us on top of the world in wine growing region of Europe and beyond, philosophizing about struggle and slope along the way.

My tastings are part education from my years on the floor in fine dining as a certified sommelier and part poetic musings, all brought together with my sensibility as a performer. The hope is we all end up with new friends -- in and outside of the glass.

While the musical fruit of a new album and "Beyond the Frame" continue to ferment (exciting news coming soon!) I look forward to doing more of these events in support -- be it a bespoke tasting for your group, or choosing from my menu of thematic tastings I've produced successfully.

If you'd like to discuss how we can make something lovely like this happen for your business or group, just reply to this email. I'll be delighted to talk to you.

"It was such a special evening and you truly made the night. You kept everyone, engaged, charmed, informed, and entertained from start to finish. Thank you so much. " -Eric Brown, Cooper & Cooper

Oh, and I'm so happy to be joining Ted Nash's big band at Dizzy's once more for Ted's ekphrastic wonder "Portrait in Seven Shades" on April 6th, where I'll appear to sing the song Ted wrote for van Gogh. What Ted's suite does to paint with sound is its own masterpiece, you'll be glad you came.

Till next pairing,

Kristen

Hello! Hope you've been faring well this month -- and that this pairing rounds out your February with a great sip and sounds. I know I loved piecing this together for you. Enjoy! “...and there is a Catskill eagle in some souls that can alike dive down into the blackest gorges, and soar out of them again and become invisible in the sunny spaces. And even if he forever flies within the gorge, that gorge is in the mountains; so that even in his lowest swoop the mountain eagle is still higher...

Hello! These days, and especially in January, it seems like we’re saturated in conversations about the question: “to drink, or not to drink?” The topic is nearly always about alcohol – a broad genus with many varied species from moonshine to Château d’Yquem. It’s like talking about the entirety of foodstuffs as “calories” and failing to distinguish between an apple and a Dorito. Anyhow, I’m here to keep us on the artful side of things – first, because it’s where my talents lie, and also to...

Hello and Happy New Year! A quick note to you first thing in 2026 to say hello, and a last call: we are now 5 hours (!) away from the end of the "Beyond the Frame" recording fundraiser -- if supporting new art and music happens to be on your '26 resolution list, I'd love to have you as part of a tight circle of patrons of the project. It's still tax deductible, and the benefits at various tiers are a lot of fun (Home concerts! Gallery tours! Performances!) You'll find the fundraiser here --...
